Hitler hits internet cap
In the article (link above) on the Netpix podcast website, two guys talk about whats new in Netflix on a weekly basis, both in Us and Canada. They discuss four movies, usually 1 or2 available in Canada , and the other 2 only available to Us subscribers. They also discuss cable companies and which IP providers are the best to go with. What I found interesting this time was the fact that the Big 4 Tv networks are releasing 46 shows next season, which is more than any year since 2004. The theory for this is that its not as risky for studios now because Netflix will buy up the rights for almost any cancelled series , so there is an opportunity to make continued profits even after show is cancelled. Hopefully even if a show has low ratings, will get to finish out its first season before getting cancelled and finding a home on Netflix. I have enjoyed watching Mr.Sunshine and Mad Love on Netflix. Nice way to avoid commercials! I feel Netflix is a great deal for the consumer, because even renting just two movies at Blockbuster would cost you the same amount and I am sure most Netflix customers watch at least 5 shows a month!http://www.earwolf.com/show/how-did-this-get-made/

The above podcast is a weekly 90 minute podcast that is irreverent in tone but serious about pop culture. They review both film and tv and they remind me of www.filmjunk.com which is my favorite podcast of all time.

This podcast has won many awards and has just celebrated their 300th episode. It is four guys from St Catherines and they are all long time friends, who share stories from real life at the beginning of each show. They discuss movies, new trailers,tv and have a listener mail segment called junk mail where they answer viewer questions. The podcast is weekly usually out on Tuesdays.
Clip is the film junk boys take a trip to the drive in.
This clip is Greg Gaspari (bookstore manager and film junk member) discovering hes watched wrong movie.
Enjoy these podcasts. Please feel free to comment and tell me what you liked (or hated) about them!
Have a great week!
Netflix is a great service but did you know that Blockbuster offers a similar mail-in service? I actually work for DISH and they’re offering three months free of this service when you switch to DISH. It’s a pretty good deal; check it out at http://goo.gl/wuMrN!
