How to watch Netflix and Hulu outside US
http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/31/help-key-watch-netflix-from-outside-the-u-s/
The link above has made me a very happy girl ! Being stuck in the house during heatwave because its too hard to walk anywhere was extremely boring last year, but this year I have Google+ and Netflix USA with its fantastic selection , not just Netflix Canada with its 3 year old BBC shows, current CBC shows and cancelled US shows . The movie selection was ok, but there were maybe about 5 I hadn't seen yet! There was a great selection of kids shows but I don't have any kids. Now I can watch Cheers,Eureka, Torchwood and Cinema Paradiso all without without having to worry about late fees or buying DVD box sets from 30 -60 bucks a pop.
I have used http://www.hotspotshield.com/ in the past to watch Hulu until they blocked all proxies. I also have used http://www.hideipvpn.com/ which is very fast and easy to set up for only 5.99 a month.
I read online that you didn't have to supply a US postal code anymore but there were even tricks to get around that. They did accept my Canadian credit card and I was in. I used hotspotshield.com as I still had that installed and it worked. I have never lost the connection while watching something. The only issue I have is once in a while when my connection is slower or I have too many windows open, my netflix account is temporarily frozen , you can see the page but it says Netflix is not available in that part of the country. You just have to disconnect the proxy and login again and log out of browser and in again. It has never happened more than once a day and for free thats worth it. If you want to watch it on your WII you will need a paid Vpn and I can give you a link to that as well here
